Interior Cover-up Letter
Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 9:21PM Congressmen Kildee, Cole and Senator Dorgan introduced three bills which comprise the "Interior Secretary's Ass Protection Act of 2009" (ISAPA). Two of the bills were heard on November 4, 2009 at the Natural Resources Committee.
Secretary Salazar knows there's a big mess to clean up. How do you explain all these "created" tribes the BIA has been "approving" and giving funds to over the last 50 years? Especially when there are Historic Tribes who have evidence that the BIA gave their appropriations away to imposter tribes. What about all the dis-enfranchised Indians who were thrown out of their tribe after a re-write of the tribal constitution? That would be a lot of explaining to do.
How about if we just re-write history while no one is looking. Make sure there is no accountability written into the new amendments and ta-da Mr. Salazar doesn't have to explain anything to anyone. Just like magic.
Here's the letter from Ken Salazar asking for his wish to come true.
HR 3697, 3742 and S 1703 are "Cover-up" bills.
Coincidence? Letters from historic tribes requesting an investigation sent to Jerold Gidner, Larry Echo-hawk, Daisy West, Allison Binney and Ken Salazar by a Historic Tribe were met with total silence. Within a month's time Kildee, Cole and Dorgan introduce bills to "affirm the Secretary of Interior's powers" to do what he wants, instead of what the Congress intended. Game over man.
